Let's Explore Together.

An explorer of the external world as much as the internal one, Erica has cultivated a curiosity that's taken her to all corners of the globe. Since Erica was 19, she's done handstand wherever she travels. This tradition has become a metaphor for how she approaches the world: After all, who says right-side up is always ... "right"? Life can sometimes be more fun upside down; at the very least, it provides a different perspective on things, and that can inspire new knowledge and personal growth. This is something she hopes to illuminate for each person with whom she works and befriends.

Life, of course, is not all handstands and travel adventures. Like everyone else in this world, Erica has experienced loss and suffering. This is a poem she keeps by her side to remind how to balance moments of dark with the light. It's served her well. Hopefully the words may serve you, too.

The Guest House
By Rumi

This being human is a guest house.
Every morning a new arrival.
A joy, a depression, a meanness,
some momentary awareness comes
as an unexpected visitor.
Welcome and entertain them all!
Even if they are a crowd of sorrows,
who violently sweep your house
empty of its furniture,
still, treat each guest honorably.
He may be clearing you out
for some new delight.
The dark thought, the shame, the malice.
meet them at the door laughing and invite them in.
Be grateful for whatever comes.
because each has been sent
as a guide from beyond.
